Top Six Muppet Songs

Tags: beaker, cookie monster, fraggle rock, jim hensen, kermit, muppets, , videos

While this space is generally used for adult conversation about the social media/public relations realm, every now and then, it’s important to take a step back and be a little silly.  This is one of those times.

Jim Henson’s Muppets may be one of the happiest creations of all time.  Crossing several mediums, they starred in feature films, TV shows aimed at youth and adults, not to mention albums and other pop culture appearances.  While their heyday was in the 1970s and 1980s, they are still extremely popular today.  Their music spanned styles and themes and along the way, they created numerous iconic songs.

So, without further ado, may I present the Top 6 Muppet Songs of All Time!

6) “C is For Cookie”

5) Beaker’s “Ode to Joy”

4) “Mahna Mahna”

3) “Bohemian Rhapsody”

2) “Fraggle Rock Theme”

1) Kermit The Frog’s “Rainbow Connection”

Excellent list... but allow me to add some love for the underrated and awesome "Movin' Right Along."

What an awesome list. I loved listening to all of them again. It is nice to take a break and remember these! :)
  • you left out "can you picture that," from the muppet movie, son!

Good list, but I'd have included Ernie's "Rubber Ducky" song.

Rainbow Connection would be my choice for Number One too, but too many other great songs to choose from to whittle down to one list. There's Movin' Right Along from the Muppet Movie, Rowlf performing Cottleston Pie, Rowlf and Sam the Eagle performing Tit Willow, Robin performing Halfway Down the Stairs, (all from The Muppet Show) and It's Not Easy (Being Green) plus a bunch of Fraggle Rock songs. I also enjoy annoying my wife with the Cooperation Song from Sesame Street. I love the music of the Muppet Show. Great post!

Haha this is so funny! I must say I would add "Cereal Girl" to the list and perhaps Grover's "Monster in the Mirror"

This made my day - Thanks!

I LOVE these! Though I would add "Take A Chance on Me" - It never fails to make me laugh as I watch the birds bouncing up and down on telephone wires.

Thanks for the laughs - I needed it!
