Saturday Morning Cartoon: Thundercats

When I was a kid, there was nothing I enjoyed more than watching Saturday morning cartoons (usually wearing footie-pajamas, eating a way-too-big bowl of Cheerios and drinking a sippy cup filled with apple juice).

I miss those days, and I’m sure I’m not alone. So let’s relive some of those happy moments with a Saturday Morning Cartoon…and see which ones still hold-up over time.

Hands-down, without a shred of doubt in my mind, my favorite 1980s cartoon was “Thundercats.” Thus, that’s where we begin.

This clip comes from the second-ever episode, entitled “Unholy Alliance.” Lion-O and the rest of the Thundercats had just arrived on Third Earth. Mumm-Ra (vastly underrated villain) tries to spoil the day.
