Read of the Day #1: Maxipad Brand Goes for Blood in Brilliant Reply to Facebook Rant
Talk about creative agility! Just days after receiving a perhaps tongue-in-cheeck Facebook rant from a boyfriend of a customer, Bodyform UK produced a video response that must be seen to be believed. Click the link to see the most brilliant Facebook response of all time.
Read of the Day #2: Bad High School Reunion? Blame Facebook
This is a quote I’m not entirely sure if I agree with: “Social networking has robbed us of our nostalgia.”
At my 10-year reunion a few years back, it was great to hear the details, since, for the most part, everyone knew the headlines from Facebook. True, the “OMG” may have been gone, but nobody was complaining.
What about you? Was your recent reunion affected by social media? Or if you have one coming up, do you fear it won’t be as impactful?
Read of the Day #3: As Pay-Per-Click Ad Costs Rise, Small Businesses Search for Alternatives
How much money can a business spend on AdWords before the results start to diminish? That’s the question the New York Times is discussing, as many businesses find PPC advertising prohibitive over time.
Even software giants like Hubspot are shifting away from the PPC model. Will this lead to a revolution in search?
Ecard of the Day:

Nice video choice, Mike. Perfect for election season. As for FB ruining reunions, not in my experience. In the past three years I've been to four reunion events (one high school, 3 college) and for 3 of them, FB was instrumental and indispensable in drumming up attendance much higher than expectations. And FB has allowed many of us to stay in touch after reconnecting at the reunions. Perhaps this is unique to those of us social media users who are from an "older" crowd, who still want to spend time in person with old friends and classmates.
