How can you convince someone to do something if you aren’t passionate (at least at some level) about what you want them to do?
It’s a simple question, but an important one for all marketers.
If you promote soap, you’ve GOT to have a passion for it.
If you promote events, you’ve GOT to care for the performers.
And the very least, you have to be passionate about doing a good job.
One person who is overflowing with passion is the retired wrestling star formerly known as the Ultimate Warrior.
A few years ago, I wrote about how PR pros could learn from his mistakes.
Now, however, there is a lesson to be learned from his successes.
The man truly believes every single word coming out of his mouth and desperately wants you to feel the same way. He has developed a following as a motivational speaker with a fitness component – a mind/body/soul type.
In his latest video for his “Warrior University,” the intensity bursts out of his monologue. By the end of it, you want to, at the very least, learn more about his program, if not buy in completely.
Take a look at this video (WARNING – STRONG LANGUAGE) and learn from how he passionately sells his product.

I truly believe passion fuels success. If you're not passionate about the work you do, it shows.
Speaking specifically about the PR world, it's easy to spot the really passionate professionals. They go above and beyond the work they do at their day jobs. They speak at events, write blog content, mentor others, comment on posts, serve in leadership roles for industry organizations, share knowledge through social media, etc. Not to say you can't be passionate about your job and do nothing other than that, but true passion shows through when you push beyond the "what's expected of me" way of thinking.
He's definitely passionate about his program!
