#SportsPRChat is a global Twitter-hosted chat bringing together sports, public relations and media professionals, professors and students in a unique discussion of current events affecting those industries.
Our chats are every Tuesday at 9pm ET!
Here is how you can join in on the chat:
Step 1 – Log-In to LinkedIn and join the “Sports PR Chat” group. (http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=2327751&trk=myg_ugrp_ovr)
Step 2 – Download Seesmic, Tweetdeck or another similar desktop program (you can use Twitter.com, but these sites are recommended.)
Step 3 – Create a column for #SportsPRChat
Step 3.5 – For any post in the chat, type “#SportsPRChat” at the end of the message – that way, we can all see it in the proper column!
Step 4 – At the start of the chat, introduce yourself to the group!
Step 5 – The chat will be formatted as a question and answer session. As moderator, I will throw out a question and we will all discuss for a period of time. Please include the question number in your responses, so we can stay organized!
Step 6 – Be courteous and professional! Cruel or threatening language will not be tolerated.
Step 7 – Chime-in…we want to hear from you! Everyone has a valid opinion.
Step 8 – After the chat, I will send out a transcript over Twitter.
That’s it!
If you have any topic suggestions, please send them to me via Twitter DM or michaelgschaffer@gmail.com.
