My wife and I got a jump-start on our New Year’s Resolution by attending several fitness classes around the holidays.
That’s right, while most people were neck-deep in egg nog, peppermint bark, and stuffing, we were at the gym.
One instructor made an interesting comment:
“While most people are thinking about their fitness, you are here doing something about it.”
Think and do. Don’t over-think.
This is the key to social media success in 2014: Plan and execute.
It’s so easy to sit back and constantly tinker and perfect a plan. But while you are second-guessing and biting fingernails, you are NOT getting things done.
And in the social media world, those are lost opportunities to increase exposure, build awareness, and achieve your goals.
Don’t get me wrong – a carefully constructed and reviewed plan is critical. And nobody, be it a person or a brand, should be a social media gunslinger, posting without rhyme or reason.
But 2014 in social media will be about getting it done.
Are you ready to play…or will you be sitting this one out?
