Great Moment in Pro Wrestling History – Genesis of the nWo

Hulk Hogan turns on WCW and forms the nWo.

For months, two former WWF wrestlers Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, better known as Razor Ramon and Diesel, respectively, had been terrorizing WCW, threatening to take it over.  Sting, Randy Savage and Lex Luger stood up for the company at Bash at the Beach 1996.  The match was supposed to be 3-on-3, but the “Outsiders” came out alone.  Luger sustained an injury early in the match and was carted to the back, rendering it 2-on-2.  Hulk Hogan, away from the scene for several months, came out to give WCW the advantage…or did he??

I remember watching this and thinking the world had just ended.  The long-time hero, Hulk Hogan, turned on an entire organization, let alone the Macho Man Randy Savage and Sting, two of my all-time favorites.  This is the moment that laucnhed the nWo angle, THE greatest WCW angle of all time.  Enjoy!
